How to solve the problem of oxidation bubble in glass production?

Peroxide bubbles (one of mirabilite bubbles), bubbles made of refractories!

(1) Because of the complex orientation, the size, shape and orientation in the glass plate have no regularity. Generally speaking, because of the resilient material in the refractory, the bubble diameter in the rear area is larger, and the size of the bubble formed by the gas discharged from the apparent pore of the refractory varies.

(2) If the microstructure is composed of carbon bubbles in refractories, there is a slight trace of sulfur precipitation on the wall of the bubbles. If a bubble is formed by the discharge of a refractory hole, the gas composition in the bubble is close to the air.

A. Some refractories will introduce some carbon because of different production methods. When these carbon contacts with glass liquid, it will form CO2 bubbles with dissolved oxygen in glass or SO3 oxidation recovery reaction with dissolved oxygen in glass liquid, forming SO2 precipitation bubbles.

B. Refractories will contain certain porosity in the process of processing. During the corrosion process of refractories in liquid glass, the gas enclosed in the holes will enter the liquid glass and form bubbles.

(4) Adopt measures:

A. Select high-quality refractories to reduce the porosity of glass liquid in direct contact with glass liquid.

B. Reduce the carbon content of refractories in contact with glass.

C. Reduce the reaction temperature and prevent the chemical reaction between glass and refractories.
